Food Banks BC and AB emergency response plan lms
PROJECT SCOPE
We were given an emergency preparedness document to transform into a comprehensive learning resource for food bank volunteers. The LMS is divided into 4 courses that corresponded to the 4 phases of an emergency response.
ROLE
I was the instructional design and project lead on this project. I led 2 writers, 1 additional ID and 2 multimedia developers.
RESPONSIBILITIES
As the project and ID lead, I worked closely with client SMEs to determine needs and expected learning outcomes. My pre-assessments were conducted via interview. I distilled and planned the core structure for this LMS and made key decisions of what and how we would organize learning elements in the build. I delegated tasks to the team for asset creation.
As the learning experience designer, I created all the visual elements of this LMS including icons, infographics, handouts, and downloads. I worked closely with 1 writer and 1 ID to map the entire site that included over 25 custom videos, scenario-based tabletop exercises and many additional resources created by the team.
Our summative assessments were conducted via exit-intent pop-up surveys filled out by users/learners of the LMS system.

I created several LMS aids as animated gifs as seen above.

I designed and created this series of illustrations to demonstrate visually the stages of emergency response.
